E learning lessons in notation reading
(an internet musical eduation lesson for grades 1 thru 5.)
1) Teacher reads story of “Mr. Everybody’s Musical Apartment” to page 21 showing pictures to students on screen.
The teacher can also have the reading of the book as a homework assignment. The student can find a free sample of the book on “YouTube” by using “search” and entering the words “Mr. Everybody’s Musical Apartment Dizzy Dog” version.
The beginning of the story introduces the treble clef notes C,D, and E. Teacher can then use large quiz cards to quiz
students on line or can assign “Speed Quiz #1” found on YouTube by the “Search” words “Mr. Everybody’s Musical Apartment Speed Quiz 1”.
Teachers can also use the free PDF copies (Below) of different notation quizzes and can have students print as homework. (Ex. Test 1 on C,D,E) (Test 2 on C,D,E,F) There are large and small size tests to fit different grade levels.
Printable beginning songs, keyboards and fun character art are also available for students (below).
